Juan Albino is Professor of Systems Engineering and Automation at the University of La Laguna. His teaching activity is at the Higher School of Engineering and Technology and at the School of Doctoral and Postgraduate Studies He has focused his line of research on control engineering and applications in different fields. One of the applications focuses on the intelligent modeling and control of energy systems in the context of renewable generation and the decarbonization of the economy. He is currently leading the SAtComm project, a European project that revolves around energy communities in which four more countries are participating. Dr. Dai-Yeun Jeong is an internationally recognized expert in environmental sociology and climate change education. Since March 2012, he has served as the Director of the Asia Climate Change Education Center in South Korea and, since January 2013, as the Acting Director of the Jeju Secretariat for the UNESCO World Network of Island and Coastal Biosphere Reserves. He is also Emeritus Professor of Environmental Sociology at Jeju National University, where he previously held a faculty position from 1981 to 2012.

Mark Bomberg, D.Sc. (Eng.), earned his Doctor of Science degree in Engineering from Lund University, Sweden (1974), following his technical studies at Warsaw University of Technology, Poland (1965). He currently serves as a Research Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Clarkson University, Potsdam, NY, and is the R&D Manager of DFIE, Inc. Dr. Bomberg is also the Technical Coordinator of the virtual network Environmental Quality Management (EQM Tech).

He is an Honorary Member of the Building Enclosure Technology and Environment Council (BETEC) of the National Institute of Building Sciences (NIBS) in Washington, DC. From 1975 to 2000, he worked at the National Research Council of Canada. He served as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Building Physics from 1984 to 2018.

Dr. Bomberg resides in Canada but works extensively in the US and Europe. He has taught in the US, Canada, Mexico, Germany, Poland, and China. He is a Guest Editor for journals including Energies and Buildings (MDPI, Switzerland), Frontiers (Switzerland), among others.

Dr Ahmet Lokurlu studied mechanical engineering as well as energy and process engineering at the University of Essen and the Academy of Sciences in Minsk (Belarus). He then visited a postgraduate degree in business administration at RWTH Aachen University and gained his doctorate in the field of high-temperature fuel cells while working as a researcher at the Jülich Research Centre.
Dr Lokurlu is one of the leading experts on solar thermal energy worldwide and is the author of numerous publications and scientific articles on the subject of high-temperature sustainable energy technologies. In 1998, he developed his idea into a functional solar based cooling system and just one year later, with a special permit from the Research Centre Jülich, he founded SOLITERM GmbH, which develops system concepts that can cover the various energy requirements of industrial customers with the help of high temperature solar Systems. These are used worldwide in more than ten countries in various industries for cooling, steam and power generation and have been honored with more than 40 prestigious awards worldwide, including Time Magazine's "Planet Hero of the Environment". Dr. Lilin Wang is the Fellow of Hundred Talents Program of Zhejiang University.
He obtained his PhD degree in civil engineering from the University of Tokyo, Japan, and served as an assistant professor at the University of Tokyo, Japan before he joined Zhejiang University. Dr. Wang was selected into the National Outstanding Young Talents and Zhejiang Province Overseas Talent Program. Hisresearch interests includes multibody dynamics and control,and offshore wind energy engineering.

Danijela Pezer is a Senior Lecturer at University Department of Professional Studies at the University of Split in Croatia. She holds the position as a Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department. She has published a numerous scientific papers in indexed International Journals and Conferences as an author or co-author. She won the award for the best scientific paper in the category of Young Researchers (Dubrovnik, Croatia, 2017) and also for the best paper presentation (Kecskemét, Hungary, 2014) as Young Researcher. Dr. Weidong Zhu is a Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC).
