Zamokuhle Mbandlwa is an academic in the Department of Public Management and Economics at Durban University of Technology (DUT), South Africa. Jalal Rastegary is a Research Scientist with the Engineering Technical Business Assistance Program at New Mexico State University, USA. His professional work focuses on energy efficiency, pollution prevention, sustainability assessment, renewable energy systems, and technical assistance for small and medium-sized businesses. He has extensive experience conducting industrial energy and environmental assessments across New Mexico, supporting organizations in reducing operating costs, improving resource efficiency, and adopting sustainable business practices. Through his research and technical expertise, he contributes to the development and implementation of practical solutions that promote energy conservation, environmental performance, and sustainable industrial operations. His work bridges research and industry by providing technical guidance to businesses seeking to enhance efficiency and advance sustainability.

Fred Wanyonyi Sifuna (Ph.D.) is a physical and computational chemist and Senior Trainer at Bungoma National Polytechnic, Kenya. He also lectures part-time at Kibabii University and Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology. He holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry and an MSc in Physical Chemistry. His research focuses on water treatment and environmental remediation, integrating experimental and computational approaches to remove heavy metals, pesticides, pharmaceuticals, and endocrine-disrupting chemicals. His expertise includes electrochemistry, adsorption, advanced analytical techniques, density functional theory, molecular simulations, and machine learning for materials. He has published research on zeolite adsorption, electrochemical degradation, and sustainable water treatment. He also supervises postgraduate research and contributes to STEM outreach, curriculum development, and institutional quality assurance.

Hanane Driouech is a PhD student at Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah University, Fez, Morocco, affiliated with the Biotechnology, Environment, Agri-Food and Health Laboratory. Her research focuses on the ecology and conservation of endemic and medicinal plants in the Moroccan Rif region. She uses ecological niche modelling to assess the potential impacts of climate change on plant distribution and habitat suitability. Her current research investigates Stachys fontqueri, a strictly endemic medicinal species, under current and future climate scenarios. Her work highlights the potential loss of suitable habitats and the importance of developing effective conservation strategies to protect endemic plant biodiversity.

Perminder Jit Kaur is an Assistant Professor (Senior Grade) in the Department of Economics and Public Policy at Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management (LBSIM), Delhi, India. She holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from IIT Delhi and has over 18 years of multidisciplinary experience in sustainability, clean energy, circular economy, and technology policy. Previously, she served as a Senior Policy Fellow at the Department of Science and Technology’s Centre for Policy Research at IISc Bengaluru. Her research interests include green hydrogen, electric vehicle battery recycling, critical minerals, life-cycle sustainability, and innovation policy. She has published over 50 research papers, authored two books, and received prestigious fellowships, including the DST Women Scientist Fellowship.

Niclas Andersson is an expert in sustainable infrastructure, resource systems, and climate resilience, with a particular focus on water systems and the interconnection between water, energy, and food security. His work explores how emerging technologies, decentralized infrastructure, industrial resource recovery, and digitalization can support more resilient and efficient resource management in a climate-stressed world.

I am a Master of Science candidate in Environmental Sciences at the University of Mpumalanga, South Africa. My research focuses on emerging pollutants from microplastics and their potential implications on human health. I have an Honours degree in Environmental Sciences and have served as an Environmental Sciences tutor at the University of Mpumalanga. My research interests include water quality, environmental risk assessment, and sustainable environmental management. I am committed to advancing scientific knowledge that supports evidence-based policies and contributes to the protection of ecosystems and vulnerable communities.

Silmara Furtado da Silva is a chemical engineer and PhD candidate in Chemical Engineering at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio), focusing on the catalytic conversion of bioethanol into olefins. She holds a Master’s degree from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). Her research combines process simulation, techno-economic analysis, and sustainability assessments to advance low-carbon technologies. She has contributed to major R&D projects with Petrobras, working on biodiesel optimization and catalytic processes. Silmara is also active in STEM education and mentorship, leading outreach initiatives and supporting underrepresented students. Her work has earned multiple awards from the American Chemical Society and international recognition.

Julissa Elizabeth Reyna Gonzalez is a university lecturer and professor in the Faculty of Industrial Engineering, Systems and Mechatronics in Huánuco, Peru. Her academic and research interests focus on sustainable mobility, environmental sustainability, carbon emissions reduction, and air quality improvement. Her current research explores sustainable mobility strategies for university campuses, with the aim of reducing carbon emissions and improving environmental conditions. She is particularly interested in promoting environmentally responsible transportation practices, including bicycles, electric vehicles, and shared transportation systems. Through her work, she seeks to encourage environmental responsibility among students, faculty, and administrative staff while contributing to healthier and more sustainable university environments.

Sonia Mokni-Tlili is a researcher specializing in environmental microbiology and biotechnology. Her research interests encompass microbial ecology, bioremediation, wastewater and sludge management, and the sustainable use of biological resources for environmental protection. Her work focuses on developing innovative and sustainable solutions to address environmental challenges through biological approaches. She has a particular interest in the reuse and valorization of treated wastewater and residual sludge in agricultural systems, promoting resource recovery and environmental sustainability. Her research contributes to advancing environmentally friendly practices that support efficient resource management, pollution reduction, and the development of sustainable strategies for protecting ecosystems and improving agricultural applications.

Dr. Totan Garai is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at Syamsundar College, The University of Burdwan, India, since 2019. He earned his Ph.D. in Mathematics from IIEST, Shibpur, in 2018 and completed his M.Sc. in Mathematics at IIT Madras. With nine years of research experience, he has authored 45 international journal publications, including 42 indexed in SCI and Scopus. His research work has received over 870 Google Scholar citations, with an H-index of 20. He has reviewed articles for leading international journals and serves on the editorial boards of several journals, including Franklin Open (Elsevier), American Journal of Computational Mathematics, and American Journal of Operations Research.

Md. Abul Hashem is a Professor in the Department of Leather Engineering at Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET), Bangladesh. He holds a PhD and M.Sc. from Kumamoto University, Japan, and a B.Sc. in Leather Technology from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. He has extensive academic and teaching experience in leather engineering and related fields. Dr. Hashem has served as a Professor at KUET since July 2022, following his tenure as an Associate Professor. He was awarded the Japanese Government MEXT Scholarship in 2006 and has received Vice-Chancellor Awards for High Impact Research Publications in 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024. He is fluent in Bengali and English and has Japanese language proficiency.

Mr. Akram Sadouki is a researcher in the Department of Biology at the Faculty of Nature and Life Sciences, Djilali Bounaama University, Algeria. His research focuses on climate change, water resource management, agricultural sustainability, and environmental adaptation strategies in arid and semi-arid regions. His work examines the impacts of changing climate patterns on water availability, crop productivity, and food security, with particular emphasis on Algeria and the Mediterranean region. He is interested in climate-smart agriculture, sustainable irrigation systems, drought-resilient farming practices, and integrated water management. Through his research, he aims to support evidence-based policies that strengthen environmental resilience and promote sustainable development in vulnerable ecosystems.

Dr. Yanal Alkuddsi is a researcher at the Lithuanian Research Centre for Agriculture and Forestry (LAMMC), Lithuania, where he works in the Department of Forest Resources, Economics and Policy. His research focuses on sustainable forestry, biomass productivity, bioenergy systems, carbon sequestration, forest resource management, and the circular bioeconomy. Dr. Alkuddsi's work integrates long-term forest growth analysis with renewable energy and climate mitigation strategies, contributing to the optimization of biomass production and sustainable land use. He has collaborated with international researchers on studies related to hybrid poplar cultivation, dendrometric analysis, and bioenergy potential under northern European conditions. His research aims to support evidence-based forest management practices that enhance renewable energy production, environmental sustainability, and carbon reduction.

Mohammed Barsi is a Water Resources Engineer and PhD researcher at Wageningen University & Research (WUR), the Netherlands, within the Soil Physics and Land Management Chair Group. He holds an MSc in Water Resources Engineering and a BSc in Civil Engineering from the University of Khartoum, Sudan. With over seven years of professional and research experience, his expertise includes water resources management, irrigation, hydrological modelling, GIS, remote sensing, and agricultural water management. His current PhD research focuses on improving water management and agricultural productivity in Sudan’s Gezira Irrigation Scheme by integrating hydrological modelling, remote sensing, field observations, and socio-economic data to evaluate Best Management Practices and enhance water-use efficiency, crop productivity, and farmers’ livelihoods.
